MYS MARII *

In response to information received through AIS data, the New Zealand Government deployed a surveillance aircraft on 21/2/2015 to the approximate location of the MYS MARII in the SPRFMO Convention Area to the east of the New Zealand EEZ. Photographic evidence was gathered which showed that the MYS MARII was fishing at the time. The MYS MARII had not been authorised to fish in the SPRFMO Convention Area by its flag State.
